My little sibling is a total worrier. I am fairly positive that she worries about just about everything. She frets about what she is going to wear to her job each morning, and she frets about more serious concerns, including her heating and cooling system. My sibling recently had a heat pump installed. Although the HVAC business who handled the heat pump replacement assured  us the heating and cooling update was a great method and would save a good amount of money, she was still upset about it. Upset that the heat pump might break and that she would have to call for an HVAC repair. She was also upset that something would go wrong with the heating and cooling update itself… Well, you get the picture. Fast forward to this past weekend, when this same sibling called me in a panic. She told me that her heat pump was constantly blowing chilly air. I indulged this and went over to her lake house to supply a sane opinion on the heating and cooling crisis. Since I own a heat pump myself, I quickly realized that the chilly air causing her to be so upset about was totally normal! My sibling was used to the heating process of her outdated furnace. She had not realized that a heat pump puts out less heat for a much longer time, whereas her outdated furnace put out bursts of much hotter air for shorter periods of time. Since the air the heat pump exuded was cooler than her body temperature, our sibling just assumed that it was putting out chilly air. Of course, she had been so upset that she had not double tested the temperature of her lake house with the control unit. I was glad to put this worrisome sibling at ease!A:C repair
